Madrid Chamartín Train Station is located in the north of the Spanish capital. The station lies parallel to the Paseo de la Castellana, in the district of Chamartín. Many commuters change at this station. It's smaller than the other large Atocha Station, but from here trains also leave for various destinations. There are for example trains with destinations in the northwest of Spain, like Santander, Santiago de Compostela and Bilbao, but international trains to Lisbon and Paris also call at Chamartín.
