Milan Malpensa Airport is the largest airport of Milan. There are two terminals that are situated at a considerable distance from each other. Every 20 minutes there is a shuttle bus between the terminals. Malpensa has a bad name: flights are often delayed and the baggage handling often leaves a lot to be desired.
The airport annually processes about 20 million passengers, it is easy to reach by train, bus, taxi and car. It is located some 50 kilometres outside the centre of Milan. There are hotels in the surrounding area.
In both terminals there are many shops, restaurants and (snack) bars. The prices are high, even in the duty free shops. The Fly Business Centre offers a broad service, including office space, meeting rooms and catering. In addition, in both terminals there are exchange services, banks, ATM machines and a First Aid station.
In the aviation industry Milan Malpensa Airport is indicated by the abbreviations MXP (IATA airport code) and LIMC (ICAO airport code).
