It was easy to make

Vienna Airport in a nutshell

Schwechat Airport, as the airport of Vienna is also called, is located 18 kilometres to the south-east of the Austrian capital. In 2006, work began on a new terminal intended to handle growth in the number of passengers. The terminal is expected to be ready in 2008. In 2005, the Viennese airport processed almost 18 million passengers. From the underground train station, the City Airport Train departs for the centre of the city every 30 minutes, and there is also a bus connection to the city centre. The airport is also easy to reach by car from the motorway.

Immediately opposite the Arrivals hall there is a hotel. The airport has a broad supply of shops, and there are also many (snack) bars, cafés and restaurants. The is a restaurant that specialises in regional dishes and wines. There are two VIP Lounges and a Business Centre. Also, there are banks, exchange offices, ATM machines, post offices, a 24 hour medical service and a pharmacy.
