General information

Napoli Centrale, the central station, is Naples' main train station. It's a major interchange station for southern Italy. Annually, about 50 million passengers pass through. The intercities run on the ground floor, and underground you can find the subway and local trains. Napoli Centrale is situated next to Piazza Garibaldi. Other stations in Naples include Mergellina, an impressive Art Deco building, and Campi Flegrei.

Transportation

Naples is a good starting point to visit the various attractions in the surroundings, such as Pompeii or the beautiful Amalfi Coast. City and regional buses are available. The subway station (Stazione di Napoli Piazza Garibaldi Metro) is located underneath the station, but you can also take the streetcar. Or do you prefer to drive along the coast yourself? You can easily rent a car.

Services

Train tickets can be bought from ticket offices and ticket machines. On the ground floor you'll find an information desk for information about arrivals and departures, prices, to reserve tickets and for special offers. There are also a tourist information center and an exchange office. You can drop off your luggage and there are a bank, and a pharmacy. In addition, you'll find restrooms, facilities for the disabled, a railroad police station, and a service assisting the disabled.

Restaurants

On the ground floor there are a McDonald's and a bar/restaurant. Do you want to taste the local specialties, such as the delicious pizza and eggplant with Parmesan cheese? These dishes are served at various restaurants in the city.

Shops

At Naples Central Station you can buy magazines, newspapers, souvenirs and tobacco products. You can also take a chance in the lottery.
