Cancún Airport is one of Mexico's largest airports. It forms the gateway to the beaches on the Caribbean Sea, drawing millions of tourists annually.

The airport is situated 22 kilometers southwest of Cancún's city center. There's no train connection with the airport, but shuttle buses run between the airport and the most popular hotels and holiday resorts. Because of the freeway (carretera) between the airport and the city, the airport is quickly and easily reachable by car.

The airport has a reasonable number of eating and drinking facilities and shops, including a duty-free shop and many souvenir shops.
