Car Rental Stuttgart Train Station

General information

Stuttgart Central Station, or Stuttgart Hauptbahnhof, is situated in the center of this German city and dates back to 1922. The building is very recognizable by the large Mercedes-Benz star on the station's tower. The shopping area, the Köningsstraße, lies nearby.

Transportation

Do you want to explore Stuttgart or its surroundings? There's a taxi stand at every exit of the station. You don't need to make a reservation. Taxi vouchers can be bought at the DB information desk in the main concourse. It's easy to continue your journey from the station by public transport. The S-bahn stops inside the subway station underneath the train station. If you want to continue traveling by streetcar or U-bahn, you need to go to the underground station underneath the Arnulf-Klett-Platz in front of the station. Bus lines 40, 42, and 44 stop in front of the station.

You can also rent a car at Stuttgart Hauptbahnhof. The car rental companies Avis, Europcar, Hertz, and Avis are located inside the concourse near platform 16. There are several parking garages around the station.

Services

There's a DB information desk for arrival and departure information, taxi vouchers, and lost-and-found objects inside the concourse. Luggage lockers can be found inside the large concourse. There are luggage trolleys at every platform.

Restaurants

There's a large selection of eating facilities. There are restaurants, fast-food restaurants (McDonald's, Burger King), coffee shops (Starbucks, Coffee Fellow, Caffee Ritazza), cafés and takeout restaurants.

Shops

Stuttgart Station is excellent for shopping. A short list of the shops that you can find here: kiosks, a drugstore, a Body Shop, a supermarket, a candy store, a patisserie, a boutique, a store selling accessories, a tobacconist, and there's a hotel.
