In the coming years, this airport of Berlin will be thoroughly renovated and expanded. It is destined to be the city's only airport, with the name Hauptstadt-Airport Berlin-Brandenburg International (BBI). There are four terminals, with Terminal A being the largest and most important.

There is a First Aid station available by telephone and a baby room. The airport is very accessible to disable people.
