Car Rental La Rochelle Train Station

General information

Gare de la Rochelle is La Rochelle's central station. The building dates back to 1922 and has its own bell tower of 45 meters high. At the beginning of the nineties, the station was renovated in preparation for the TGV from Paris Montparnasse, which calls at La Rochelle. The city is located in the west of France on the Bay of Biscay.

Transportation

If you want to stay in La Rochelle or if you want to explore the surroundings, you can find taxis in front of the station. You don't need a reservation. La Rochelle's city buses stop on the left-hand side and regional buses stop directly in front of the building. If you want to explore the region on your own, you can rent a car opposite Gare de la Rochelle. Here you'll find a branch of car rental company Avis. On the right-hand side of the building, you'll find a branch of Europcar on the Boulevard Joffre. If you want to pick up or drop off a passenger you can park your car opposite the station.

Services

You can buy tickets from ticket offices or ticket machines. There are also a lost-and-found desk, ATMs, restrooms, soft-drink dispensers, phone booths, a machine to develop your photos on-site, a passport photo booth, and an AED. La Rochelle is fully equipped for the disabled.

Restaurants

There are few places to eat or drink something. You can, however, buy sandwiches, hot snacks, and beverages.

Shops

The station has a Relay kiosk with a large selection of magazines, newspapers, books, and related articles.
