“Nice car, friendly staff.”
“Rented a car in Malaga, Spain. Virtually brand new Ford Focus, with all the trimmings for a very small fee (€ 21 per day). Booking through the internet makes it even cheaper. Attentive and friendly staff, fluent in English and a great service. No complaints afterwards.”
Málaga is located in the south of Spain in the region of Andalusia. It's the largest city on the Costa del Sol. The large Málaga Train Station, María Zambrano, is situated one kilometer southwest of the city center. High-speed trains arrive at and depart from this station. The AVE takes you in less than 3 hours to Madrid, in 2 hours to Seville, and Córdoba can be reached in one hour by high-speed rail. The station is also frequented by local trains and intercities. There's another station in the city center.
If you want to visit Picasso's birthplace, you have several options. You'll find taxis in front of and buses next to the station. You can, however, also easily rent a car to discover the beautiful Andalusia on your own. There are several car rental companies like Avis, Europcar, Hertz, and National Atesa at María Zambrano Station in Málaga. There are parking facilities in front of and underneath the station.
The new train station looks bright and is laid out in a logical way. Tickets can be bought at the ticket offices. If you have any questions, you can go to a travel agency or an information desk for tourists. There's also a VIP lounge where you can check-in and change reservations. In addition there are luggage lockers, public telephones, an ATM, and facilities for the disabled.
There are several cafés and bars and the station is attached to a four-star hotel (Barceló Málaga Hotel). In the vicinity of the station you can find many restaurants and hotels.
Next to the platforms you'll find a kiosk and a cafeteria. Or do you still want to make some purchases? María Zambrano Station has something for everyone. You can indulge yourself 7 days a week in the 121 different shops. There's even a movie theater with ten halls inside the shopping mall.
