General information

Barcelona Sants (Sants Estació) is the main station in Barcelona, Spain. It's named after Sants, the neighborhood where it's located northwest of the city center. The station is a junction of national, high-speed, international, and local trains. There's a direct train connection between Sants and the airport.

Transportation

From the train station you can easily explore Barcelona by subway. Barcelona Sants lies on the green (L3) and blue (L5) subway lines. You can also easily travel on by taxi or bus. The bus station is connected with the train station. An ideal way to explore the city and its surroundings, admire the magnificent architecture and to enjoy the nice tapas bars. Both are located directly opposite the station. Or do you prefer to drive yourself? There are several possibilities to rent a car in Barcelona. At the station you'll find the car rental companies Avis, Europcar, and National.

Services

The train station is very spacious and offers plenty of possibilities to spend your time. There are for example an information desk for tourists, a police station, ATMs, phone booths, and free Wi-Fi. The disabled will find all the necessary facilities.

Restaurants

There are several places to eat or drink something. Do you fancy fast-food? In the back of the station you'll find a McDonald's. The station's largest restaurant is Café Ars; you'll recognize it immediately by the butterfly logo. You can also go to Caffe di Fiore, a coffee shop, and there are two branches of Cafe de l'Estacio, where you can for example sit down to eat a sandwich or pizza or order to go.

Shops

Barcelona Sants has a large variety of shops including a Movistar phone shop, a drugstore, shops selling magazines, a flower shop, and a FC Barcelona shop. You can spend the night at Hotel Sants, which is located on the top floors of the station. It's a luxurious and affordable hotel.
