Lanzarote Airport in a nutshell

The airport of Lanzarote has two terminals: T2 is used only for flights to other Canary Islands, T1 for all other flights. The airport processes about 5.5 million passengers a year, most of them from Great Britain and Germany.

The airport is located five kilometres from the island's capital Arrecife. Next to the arrival hall there is a bus service to the bus station of Arrecife, from where there are buses to all destinations on the island.

There are no hotels at the airport. There is a reasonable supply of places to eat and drink. There are, however, plenty of shops. Keep in mind that the Canary Islands have a separate status, which means the there are restrictions with regard to the export of alcohol and tobacco. In the departure hall there is a VIP Lounge with facilities such as fax, telephone and Internet. In the departure hall there is also an exchange office and there are various cash machines. In the central hall there is a pharmacy. The First Aid station is located in the arrival hall. The terminal building is accessible to disabled people.
