Malta Airport in a nutshell

The international airport of Malta is located eight kilometres to the south of the capital Valletta, between the towns of Luqa and Gudja. The local population usually refers to the airport as Luqa Airport.

Immediately opposite the departure hall there is a regular bus service to the centre of Valletta, travel time about 30 minutes.

At the airport there are no hotels. There are a reasonable number of shops, (snack) bars and cafés, but there is no real restaurant, unless you count fast-food restaurant McDonald's. There are three lounges. More extensive business services are available at the nearest hotel. There are banks, exchange offices and cash machines. In addition, there is a post office and there are computers with Internet connection. Wireless Internet is available.
