The voucher was mis leading as it said Desk in car rental area , it should say over the road. The airport also has car rental offices inside the arrivals terminal.

The fact that we had

The fact that we had insurance via Easy terra, but you still get a bit of the scare stories, like you need to have a police report, you need to pay and wait for easy terra to pay you back. It feels a bit like not a collaboration.

It is impossible to find

It is impossible to find your reservation if you lose your voucher email, unless you create an account. As i don't rent cars often, i didn't want to create an account (process of thinking of, writing down, remembering passwords etc) and i proceeded as guest. However the voucher email went to spam folder and I couldn't find it. I didn't check right away upon booking,as i got a confirmation that the voucher WILL be received after confirmation. Adding to frustration was the fact of very poor telephone support hours, especially if you are calling from abroad due to time differences. I think just by entering Name, pickup point and date someone should be able to find his reservation.

Heraklion Airport in a nutshell

The airport of Heraklion on the island of Crete is officially called 'Nikos Kazantzakis', after a writer and philosopher. Annually, some 5 million people use this airport. The terminal building is fairly small, and as a result the airport is very busy during peak times. Often, people who are departing have to wait outside - sometimes for quite a while - because flights to and from this airport are often delayed. This is why work has begun on expanding the airport, but it will take years before this work will be finished. The airport is also used by the Greek airforce, which is why people are not allowed to take pictures.

The airport, which lies on the edge of Heraklion, is easy to reach by bus and car. There are no hotels at the airport.

There is a limited number of shops and places to eat and drink. There is one restaurants and there are five cafés, and prices are high. There are no offices or meeting rooms for rent at the airport, nor are there many other facilities. There is a bank and there are a few ATM's.
