“Usually fine, but the last experience : 5 days car rental of Alamo-enterprise in Frankfurt airport was not: I was billed in advance by easyterra in and that's fine. The problem is that On the day of car drop (12.12.2017) I was billed once more, this time by Enterprise. On 18.12.2017 I've phoned Enterprise in Frankfurt airport and they promised to return the money (177 Euros) after Christmas but now we are already after the new year and the money was not returned yet. After 10 rentals in Frankfurt at the last year and a half, excluding the US I have many doubts if to continue and rent cars from Alamo-Enterprise via EasyTerra.”
The airport of Frankfurt, Frankfurt Airport or Frankfurt Rhein Main Airport, is the largest of Germany. It is an important European 'mainport', that processed 52 million passengers in 2005, which makes it the third busiest airport in Europe, after London-Heathrow and Paris-Charles de Gaulle. There are plans to expand the airport with a fourth runway, but a definite decision has been postponed repeatedly.
There are two terminals, with a third one under construction. The connection between the terminals is maintained by the so-called Skyline, an unmanned automatic train. There are two train stations, underground and above ground. The airport is located 12 kilometres to the south-west of the city, and it is easy to reach by car and bus.
There are hotels at the airport. There are also a large number of hotels in the city, with a shuttle bus connection to the airport. In both terminals there are plenty of shops, (snack) bars, cafés and restaurants. Business facilities are available at the Frankfurt Airport Centre, opposite Terminal 1. There, many airlines also have their own lounges. In addition, the airport offers the following services: banks, exchange offices and ATM machines. There is also a fully equipped post office. And there are children's play areas, baby rooms and credit card telephones. In both terminals, wireless Internet is available.
In the aviation industry Frankfurt Airport is indicated with the abbreviations FRA (IATA airport code) and EDDF (ICAO airport code).
