Toulouse Matabiau Station is the central station of the city of Toulouse. It's situated in the center of this large French city and dates back to 1905. The station consists of two concourses (North and South) which are directly next to each other on the Boulevard de Marengo. From these concourses underground tunnels bring you to the platforms.
The taxi stand is located in front of the station. You'll find taxis from different companies. The bus station is located to the right when leaving the station via the main exit. Here city buses, regional buses and intercity buses leave as well as a shuttle bus to the airport. Subway station Toulouse Mango is called at by line A. From the southern concourse you can take the stairs down to this station. This subway brings you for example to the university.
You can also rent a car inside the northern concourse. There are several car rental companies. You can choose from Europcar, Hertz, Avis, Sixt, and National. The EFFIA long-term parking lot is located in front of the station and is open 24 hours a day.
You can buy tickets for all trains at the ticket offices inside the concourse. There's an information desk inside the main concourse for travel information and assistance for the disabled. There are also a lost-and-found desk, luggage lockers, restrooms, phone booths, an ATM, soft-drink dispensers, a passport photo booth, a machine to develop photos, Wi-Fi, and an AED.
There are two restaurants inside the concourse. If you have little time, you can go to a takeout restaurant of the Quick fast-food chain for a quick bite. Opposite the station, on the Rue de Bayard, there are more restaurants where you can also have more extensive meals.
As at many stations in France, there are Relay kiosks where you can find a large selection of newspapers, magazines, and books. There are two of them at the station and one at the subway station.
