Car Rental Angoulême Train Station

General information

Angoulême Train Station dates back to 1852 and used to be part of the 'Collège Royal de la Marine'. Inside the concourse you can still find a plaque referring to these times. The artistic and cultural Angoulême is situated in the southwest of France, between La Rochelle and Bordeaux. The railroad line passes through a tunnel underneath the city. The city and surroundings mainly live off the paper-making and packaging industry. For this reason it's also the center of comic books in France. The most important European comics festival is organized here every year in January.

Transportation

You can reach Angoulême from Paris in 2 hours and 10 minutes and Bordeaux in 55 minutes by TGV. Do you prefer not to continue traveling but stay in the vicinity? You'll find taxis near the station buffet and several regional and city buses stop in front of the station. You can also rent a car in Angoulême. Following your trip you can return your car at the station. In the center of Angoulême you can park at Gesta parking. Opposite the station there's also an EFFIA parking lot.

Services

An AED can be found near the northern exit of the concourse. Inside the concourse there's an information desk and a special desk for disabled travelers. There are wheelchairs, lifts and ramps.

Restaurants

Inside the concourse you'll find a buffet restaurant, a takeout restaurant and a bar. Opposite the train station there's a Speed Burger for a quick bite.

Shops

The station has a Relay kiosk. This international chain has a large selection of magazines, newspapers, books, etc.
