There used to be a large army base in the city, but it was removed at the beginning of the 21st century. It's been replaced by call centers from, for example, the largest Swedish newspaper, Svenska Dagbladet and Swedbank. There are also bus and train connections with other Swedish places, but also with Trondheim in Norway. High-speed trains run to Stockholm, Gothenburg and Malmö.

Traffic and Parking

The city center is divided in zones: the closer you get to the central square Stortorget, the more expensive it's to park in the street. There's also a large parking garage near that square.
