“Rented a car from them in the Azores (Ponta Delgada), adequate staff on hand. I agree to change my car (at their prompting) to a diesel motor. That change cost me an upfront 3 euro/day fee, plus a new pending charge of approximately $1300.00 US on my credit card (even though I'd already paid for another car.) The car was great - Renault 4dr. Even though diesel was cheaper on the island, I don't think the total cost was offset, though I enjoyed / needed the extra power of a standard shift. I was annoyed by the fact that it took nearly 3 weeks after the rental return for my $1300 US pending charge to clear from my credit card.”
