Marseille St. Charles is the central station of the seaport Marseille in the south of France. The station dates back to 1848 and was named after the former St. Charles cemetery which used to be at this location. Marseille is the terminus of the TGV, which runs from Paris Gare de Lyon to the south. Marseille St. Charles Station lies approximately 1 kilometer from the old port (Vieux Port), a tourist area that houses many places to eat and attractions like the Abbey of St. Victor and the Forts Saint-Jean and Saint-Nicolas.

In between the subway station and the taxi stand you'll also find a bike rental place.
