General information
Toronto Union Station is an important railroad station in Canada. The monumental building in Beaux-Arts style was inaugurated in 1927. It's situated on Front Street in the city's business center. Several intercities run from Toronto to cities like Montreal and Ottawa. Do you want to travel in the direction of the west coast? The train to Vancouver runs three times a week, and stops at Winnipeg, Edmonton and Jasper. If you prefer to stay nearby, there are also regional trains by GO Transit. The station handles approximately 250,000 passengers daily. Toronto is Canada's largest city with over 2.5 million inhabitants.
Transportation
Do you want to go to Lake Ontario or visit the city? You can take a taxi, but the Union subway station is in the same building. The station is connected with the adjacent bus station of GO Transit on Bay Street by a covered footbridge. Shuttle buses run to Toronto Airport. Do you want to rent a car in Toronto? No problem; there are several car rental companies. Union Station also has a bike shed.

The Fairmont Royal York Hotel is located opposite the train station.
