The airport of the Czech Republic capital is located 17 kilometres to the north-west of the centre of Prague. There are four terminals. There are two runways. In 2007, work will begin on a third runway.
The airport can only be reached by bus and car. From the bus stations there are various city bus services to Prague. There are two hotels near the South Terminals. At five kilometres, there is a third hotel.
There is a reasonable amount of shops, (snack) bars and restaurants (fast-food, self-service and regular restaurants). With the opening of the new central hall in 2008, the number of shops and restaurants will increase considerably. In the North Terminal there is a small meeting room and a room for press conferences. The South Terminal has two larger meeting rooms. There is also a VIP lounge in the terminals. The airport is very accessible to disabled people. There are banks, exchange offices and ATM machines. The banks and exchange offices charges hefty commissions. There is a post office and a First Aid station that can be called on by telephone. Throughout the terminal building there is wireless Internet.
