Bari Airport is located 11 kilometres to the north-west of the city, near Palese. Its official name is 'Karol Wojtyla Airport', after Pope John Paul II. The airport is easy to reach from the ring road around Bari. There is no train connection, but it is possible to connect to the train station by bus. The city has plenty of hotels.
