Copenhagen Airport in a nutshell

Originally, this airport was called Kastrup Airport, after the nearby town. The official name of the airport is still Copenhagen Airport, Kastrup, to distinguish it from the smaller airport near the Danish capital: Copenhagen Airport, Roskilde. Kastrup is the largest airport in Scandinavia. Annually, it processes over 20 million passengers. There are three terminals. Terminal 1 is for domestic flights, the other two are for international flights.

Beneath terminal 3, there is a train station. There are trains bound for the Central Station of Copenhagen and other major cities in Denmark and Sweden. In October 2007, the airport will be connected to Copenhagen's metro network. In front of terminal 2 there are various bus services.

There are two hotels at the airport. There are plenty of shops, (snack) bars, cafés and restaurants. Business facilities are available at the Business Centre. There are 19 offices and meeting rooms for a maximum of 90 people, and there is a conference room for a maximum of 450 people. All the rooms are equipped with modern equipment for communication and presentation. There is also an Executive VIP Lounge. In Terminal 2, there are banks. There are cash machines in all the terminals. There is a post office and in many places there are computers with Internet connection. Wireless Internet is available everywhere. There is also a stillness room, a First Aid station and there are children's play areas. The airport is very accessible to disabled people.
