Granada is a tourist attraction of considerable size, mainly because the many relics from the era of the Moorish empire with the Alhambra being absolutely highlighted. Like in most big cities it is not recommendable to go downtown by car, parts of the city are exclusively for pedestrians. It is best to park your car on the outskirts of the city and continue by public transport. There are also many parking garages and parking lots in the city center.
The car is by far the best means of transport to explore the surrounding areas of Granada, the beautiful Andalusian scenery and the picturesque towns and villages.
