The airport of Kuala Lumpur is located 55 kilometres to the south of the Malaysian capital. It is a very modern airport with two terminals that are connection by an automatic train. In addition, there is a separate terminal for budget airlines.

Kuala Lumpur Airport is an important link in the Asian air traffic. In the coming years, the airport will expand significantly with a new runway and a new terminal building.

There are two train connections between the airport and Kuala Lumpur. There are also bus services to Kuala Lumpur and to various other destinations in Malaysia. Travel time to the city by car is about an hour.

There are two hotels at the airport. There are many shops, (snack) bars, fast-food chains and restaurants in both terminals, although not in the budget airline terminal. At the airport there is a Business Centre. There are extensive facilities: telephone, Internet, videoconferencing and secretarial support. More business facilities are offered by the two hotels. There are banks, exchange offices and a large number of cash machines. Wireless Internet is available in both terminals and there are two First Aid stations. The airport is very accessible to disabled people.
