Palermo Airport in a nutshell

The airport of Palermo is also known as Punta Raisi Airport or Falcone-Borsellino Airport. The latter name refers to two anti-mafia judges who were murdered in 1992.

The airport is located 32 kilometres to the west of Palermo along the A29 motorway, and it can be reached by car, bus, taxi and train. There are some hotels in the surrounding area of the airport. At the airport there is a limited shopping area, a few snack bars and a (self-service) restaurant. There is also a bank (limited opening hours), two ATM machines and a post office (limited opening hours). For wheelchair users the airport is very accessible.
